16 February: The Princess Royal today visited Nottinghamshire and was received by Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Nottinghamshire (Sir Andrew Buchanan Bt).
Her Royal Highness this morning opened the new wing of King's Mill Hospital, Mansfield.
The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, later visited Warner's (UK) Limited, Dabell Avenue, Blenheim Industrial Park, Nottingham.
Her Royal Highness, this afternoon opened the new Nottinghamshire Archives Office, Wilford Street, Nottingham.
The Princess Royal, President, British Knitting and Clothing Export Council, subsequently visited Peter Geeson Limited, Long Eaton, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Derbyshire (Colonel Peter Hilton).
