22 April: The Queen was represented by the Reverend Professor Owen Chadwick OM at the Memorial Service for Sir Sidney Nolan OM which was held in St James's Church, Piccadilly, London W1, this morning.

The Duke of Edinburgh was represented by Sir Andrew Huxley OM.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE

22 April: The Prince Edward, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, today opened the new offices of Rover Deutschland in Neuss, Dusseldorf, Germany.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.

His Royal Highness, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this evening held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

22 April: The Princess Royal, Patron, the British School of Osteopathy, this morning opened the Community Care Access Clinic, 1-4 Suffolk Street, London SW1, and was received by the Lord Mayor of Westminster (Councillor Dr Cyril Nemeth).

Her Royal Highness, President, Animal Health Trust, this afternoon attended the Canine Awards Luncheon, London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, this evening gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace for supporters of Save the Children Fund from entertainment, sport and journalism.

22 April: The Princess of Wales this morning visited the Egyptian House for Productive Families, 77 Wigmore Street, London W1.

22 April: The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Pestalozzi Children's Village Trust, today attended a reception to launch the Pestalozzi 'Children for a Better World', Appeal at the Swiss Embassy, Bryanston Square, London W1.

Major Nicholas Barne was in attendance.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, St Peter's Research Trust (for the Cure of Kidney Disease) today visited the Institute of Urology and Nephrology Research Laboratories, Middlesex Hospital, 67 Riding House Street, London W1.

22 April: The Duchess of Kent this afternoon presented the Awards at the BUPA Medical Foundation Limited Annual Doctor of the Year Luncheon, the Savoy Hotel, London SW1 and was met on arrival by the Lord Mayor of Westminster (Councillor Doctor Cyril Nemeth).

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.
