13 May: By command of The Queen, the Viscount Goschen (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning upon the Departure of the Governor-General of Barbados and bade farewell to Her Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

13 May: Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother was present at the funeral of The Lady Victoria Wemyss which took place at Wemyss Castle this afternoon.

KENSINGTON PALACE

13 May: The Duke of Gloucester, Honorary Fellow, Institution of Structural Engineers, was present at the 60th Annual dinner at Guildhall, London EC2.

Major Nicholas Barne was in attendance.

YORK HOUSE

13 May: The Duchess of Kent this morning opened a new factory for Mimtec Services Limited, Faulds Park Road, Gourock, and was met on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Renfrewshire (Major David Crichton Maitland).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened Greenock Shopping Centre, Westburn Street, Greenock and later visited Blythswood House on behalf of the Thistle Foundation, Fullbar Lane, Renfrew, Renfrewshire.

Fiona, Lady Astor of Hever was in attendance.
