11 March: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by the Viscount Ridley KG (Lord Steward) at the Memorial Service for the Marquess of Normanby KG which was held in York Minster this afternoon.

The Duke of York was represented by the Earl of Halifax.

Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, was represented by the Lord Hotham.

The Duke and Duchess of Kent were represented by Captain Alexander Tetley.

11 March: The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Irish Regiment, today received Lieutenant- Colonel Ewing Grimshaw upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer the 1st Battalion.

11 March: The Princess Royal arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning from Hong Kong.

Mrs Charles Ritchie and Lieutenant-Colonel Peter Gibbs were in attendance.

11 March: The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince of Wales's Business Leaders Forum, gave a Reception for members of the Business Leaders Forum in the Czech Republic, the Republic of Hungary, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic.

11 March: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon was represented by the Lord Westbury at the Memorial Service for The Marquess of Normanby KG, which was held in York Minster this afternoon.
