9 July: By command of The Queen, the Lord Annaly (Lord-in-Waiting) called upon The President of the Republic of Zambia this morning at the Churchill Hotel, Portman Square, London W1, and, on behalf of Her Majesty, welcomed His Excellency on his Arrival in this Country.
9 July: The Prince Edward, Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award Special Projects Group, this morning attended an Award 'Passport to Adventure' event and afterwards attended the South West Regional Conference for Young People at Kilve Court, Kilve, and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Somerset (Colonel Sir Walter Luttrell).
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
10 July: By command of The Queen, Mr Martyn Long (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Arrival of the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda and Lady Carlisle and welcomed Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.
10 July: The Prince Edward, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, this afternoon attended the Polo Match for the Dorchester Trophy at the Guards' Polo Club, Smith's Lawn, Windsor Great Park.
Lieutenant-Colonel Sean O'Dwyer was in attendance.
KENSINGTON PALACE
9 July: The Duchess of Gloucester this morning presented the prizes at Founders' Day and opened the new Modern Language Complex, Pangbourne College, Reading. Her Royal Highness was received on arrival by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the Royal County of Berkshire (Mr John Henderson).
Mrs Euan McCorquodale was in attendance.
THATCHED HOUSE LODGE
9 July: Princess Alexandra, President of WWF UK (World Wide Fund for Nature), and the Hon Sir Angus Ogilvy this afternoon visited the WWF Wildlife Garden at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, Hampton Court Palace, Surrey.

Changing of the Guard
The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 2nd Battalion Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.
