11 January: By command of The Queen, Vice-Admiral Sir James Weatherall (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Professor Zeljko Bujas at 18-21 Jermyn Street, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the Republic of Croatia to the Court of St James's.

The Lady Elton has succeeded the Hon Mary Morrison as Lady-in- Waiting to Her Majesty.

KENSINGTON PALACE

11 January: Princess Alice, Duchess of Gloucester, Air Chief Commandant, Women's Royal Air Force, today received Air Commodore Ruth Montague, Director of the Women's Royal Air Force.

THATCHED HOUSE LODGE

11 January: Princess Alexandra, accompanied by the Hon Sir Angus Ogilvy, this evening attended a Reception and Dinner in aid of the American Museum in Britain at Christie's, King Street, London SW1.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, attends a luncheon at the London International Boat Show, Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, London SW5; and as Upper Warden, Worshipful Company of Woolmen, attends the Alms Court Meeting and Livery Dinner, Painters' Hall, London EC4.

Royal Mews

The Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace opens between 12pm and 4pm, and last admission is at 3.30pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion Scots Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Welsh Guards.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts at Windsor Castle open between 10am and 4pm, and the State Apartments between 10.30am and 3pm.
