8 January: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were represented by Lieutenant-Colonel James Stirling of Garden (Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for Stirling and Falkirk) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Earl of Mar and Kellie (Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Clackmannan) which was held in St Mungo's Parish Church, Alloa, today.

9 January: Divine Service was held in Sandringham Parish Church this morning. The Bishop of Exeter preached the Sermon.

Her Majesty presented the Queen's Gold Medal for Academic Excellence at King Edward VII High School, King's Lynn, to Miss Nina Constable, who was introduced into Her Majesty's presence by Mr MJ Walker, the Headmaster.

By command of The Queen, Sir Ashley Ponsonby, Bt (Her Majesty's Lord- Lieutenant for Oxfordshire), was present at Royal Air Force Brize Norton this afternoon upon the Arrival of The King and Queen of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and welcomed Their Majesties on behalf of Her

Majesty.

KENSINGTON PALACE

8 January: The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon was represented by Mrs James Stirling of Garden at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of the Earl of Mar and Kellie, which was held in St Mungo's Parish Church, Alloa, today.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; 1st Battalion The King's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the The King's Regiment.
