22 February: By command of The Queen, the Viscount St Davids (Lord-in-Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, today upon the Arrival of The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and welcomed His Excellency on behalf of Her Majesty.

22 February: The Princess Royal departed from Royal Air Force Lyneham this morning to visit Ethiopia, Eritrea, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Hong Kong.

Mrs Charles Ritchie and Lieutenant- Colonel Peter Gibbs were in attendance.

CLARENCE HOUSE

22 February: Mrs Michael Gordon-Lennox has succeeded the Hon Mrs Rhodes as Lady-in-Waiting to Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Duchess of Kent visits Alder Hey Children's Hospital, Liverpool; and opens Mayfield Court, Liverpool, Merseyside. Prince Michael of Kent, Commodore, Royal Naval Auxiliary Service, visits the Liverpool unit.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; F Company Scots Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
