4 February: The Princess Royal today visited Edinburgh and was received by Her Majesty's Lord-Lieutenant for the City of Edinburgh (Councillor Norman Irons, the Right Hon the Lord Provost).
Her Royal Highness this morning opened the Gyle Shopping Centre, South Gyle.
The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, this afternoon attended a Seventy-Fifth Birthday Appeal Reception at the Royal Terrace Hotel, 18 Royal Terrace.
Her Royal Highness, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, later opened the new Outdoor Arena, the Drum Riding Centre for the Disabled Trust, Drum Estate, Gilmerton Road.
The Princess Royal, President, Save the Children Fund, subsequently visited the Save the Children Fund Shop, 45 Dalry Road.
Mrs David Bowes-Lyon was in attendance.
Her Royal Highness, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, accompanied by Commander Timothy Laurence RN, this evening attended a Dinner at the National Gallery of
Scotland.

4 February: The Duchess of Kent this afternoon attended a passing out parade at the Metropolitan Police Service Training Establishment, Peel Centre, Hendon, London NW9.
