31 July: By command of The Queen, Mr Jeremy Smith (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex) was present at Gatwick Airport, London, this morning upon the Departure of the Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda and Lady Carlisle and bade farewell to Their Excellencies on behalf of Her Majesty.

31 July: The Duke of York, Commodore, this evening attended the Royal Thames Yacht Club Reception at Cowes, Isle of Wight.

ROYAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, attends the Council Meeting on board HMY Britannia, Cowes, Isle of Wight.

The Queen's Gallery

The Queen's Gallery opens between 10am and 5pm, and last admission is at 4.30pm.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard, at Horse Guards, 11am; the King's Regiment mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Grenadier Guards.

Windsor Castle

The Precincts and State Apartments at Windsor Castle open 10am-.

Bands playing in the Royal Parks

St James's Park, Eltham Concert Band, 12.30pm-2pm, 5.30pm-7pm.
