The wife of England striker Wayne Rooney, currently holidaying with her in Las Vegas, was waiting for four large suitcases to arrive from her flight to the US.
When they turned up late two days later, however, the model claims that several items – including clothes, bags, shoes and toiletries – were missing.
“Feel sick.... just received my 4 cases 2 days late from BA Heathrow to Las Vegas. Opened them all and they have been completely ransacked,” she tweeted to her 1.18million Twitter followers.
“Bags, shoes, bikinis, clothes, toiletries, underwear, pj's, make up, toiletries taken. Disgusting & the customer service getting is terrible.”
After facing a slight backlash online from users who pointed out that, as the wife of a Manchester United footballer, she probably has enough money to replace her missing things, she angrily posted:
“And you can stick all the sarcastic comments about money.
“It's not all about money it's about people going through my personal stuff and taking stuff that I need for my holiday."
“@ColeenRoo That is disgraceful, complete invasion of your privacy!! You're a paying customer so should be treated the same as any other,” she retweeted one follower as saying.
But that was before she noted the cruellest theft of all:
British Airways told The Independent: “We have been in touch with Mrs Rooney to apologise, and have a begun an investigation.”
They declined to comment any further on her claims at this stage.
Images of Coleen staggering through airports with towers of suitcases were a staple of the pre-World Cup coverage, before England spectacularly crashed out of the competition after failing to advance beyond the group stages.
Despite their run of bad luck, however, the Rooneys have been making the most of their time across the Atlantic. Over the weekend, they were seen partying at the exclusive Encore Beach Club in Las Vegas.
