Your support makes all the difference.Chris Brown has come under fire for mocking the singer Kehlani after reports she allegedly tried to kill herself.
R&B singer Kehlani posted a photo on Instagram on Monday which showed herself in hospital with an IV drip in her arm. In the post she alluded to online rumours and trolling she received over her personal life, which accused her of cheating on her apparent boyfriend NBA player Kyle Irving with her ex-boyfriend, the rapper Party Next Door (PND). She wrote in the post: “Today I wanted to leave this earth. Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point” before deleting the post and all others from her account.
In response to the reports, Brown wrote on Twitter on Tuesday: “There is no attempting suicide […] Doing sh*t for sympathy so them comments under your pics don’t look so bad,” before following with a reference supporting Irving.
His tweets were immediately met with backlash for seemingly mocking mental health issues and he continued to trend on Twitter as users discuss his recent rant.
TMZ reports Kehlani, 20, was hospitalised after she told paramedics she “wanted to harm herself”. The singer, whose released two EPs and rose to prominence as part of a girl group on America’s Got Talent in 2011, recently collaborated with Zayn Malik on his new album Mind of Mine.
According to reports, she published further posts on Tuesday thanking fans for their support, before deleting all posts from her page again.
