James Stunt, husband of Ecclestone’s daughter Petra, appeared to make a gun gesture before knocking into his father-in-law, The Sun reported.
He is said to have then stormed out of the court and given the middle finger to photographers outside.
A judge had ordered Mr Stunt, 35, to vacate his £75m martial home, which he shares with Ms Stunt.
The couple, said to be worth £5.5bn, are in the midst of separation which could spell one of the biggest divorce settlements in history.
According to the Sun, Ecclestone, 83, marched after his son-in-law before he was urged to sit down.
The judge, who did not appear to hear Mr Stunt’s comment, said: “Please don’t do that sort of thing in court”.
Ms Stunt’s lawyer, David Williams QC, said her husband had admitted allegations of abusive behaviour during their relationship.
The Ecclestone family’s Bambino Trust own the mansion the couple and their three children had been living in.
The family are reported to have bought the house for £70m, spending £25m to add a new wing featuring a pool, gym and underground car park.
The judge ordered Mr Stunt, who muttered and gesticulated throughout the 90-minute hearing, to be out by Saturday.
Recorder Anelay said: “Petra should be restored to the former matrimonial home forthwith.
“He has said on numerous occasions that the children should be there, it’s their home, and that the mother should be there with them as well.”
