Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

HEART Searching readers can learn more about Superlife by taking advantage of this unique special offer, and entering our fun competition.

If you would like to buy a copy of Superlife, just send your name, address and if possible a daytime telephone number, with a cheque for pounds 4.99 - payable to Thorsons Mail Order - to Superlife, The Independent, 40 City Road, London EC1Y 2DB. Postage and packing are free. Allow 28 days for delivery.

Everyone who buys a book is eligible to enter the competition, in which 12 winners will spend a day with Anne Naylor at the luxury Hyatt Carlton Tower hotel in London. The event, on Thursday 3 February, will feature a seminar with Anne about her personal growth programme and also includes morning coffee, a superb lunch, and afternoon tea.

Anne says she will use the session to help people understand how Superlife can be used as a resource, to explore what success means to them, to discuss her ideas and answer questions. The group will also do some of the exercises from the book.

To enter, all you have to do is write to tell us, in no more than 20 words, what a Superlife means to you. Enclose your entry with your order for the book. Closing date: Monday 24 January.
