Princess Alexandra opens the new Veterinary Centre of the People's Dispensary for Sick Animals at 171 Malmesbury Road, London E3; and opens the exhibition "Princes, Poets and Paladins: Islamic and Indian paintings from the collection of Prince and Princess Sadruddin Aga Khan" at the British Museum, London WC1.

Changing of the Guard

The Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment mounts the Queen's Life Guard at Horse Guards, 11am; Nijmegen Company Grenadier Guards mounts the Queen's Guard, at Buckingham Palace, 11.30am, band provided by the Irish Guards.
