Police charged a 32-year-old man with seven counts of attempted murder last night following a machete knife attack on a picnic at St Luke's infant school in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton, on Monday afternoon. Detectives arrested a suspect, whom they had earlier named as Horrett Irving Campbell, in a 10-storey tower block where he lived on Tuesday night, 30 hours after they sealed it off to be searched. Yesterday officers continued to comb the area around St Luke's for the weapon used in the attack. One woman and three children were last night still recovering in hospital from their injuries. The man charged is due appear before Wolverhampton magistrates this morning.
