Your support makes all the difference.The i newspaper and The Independent on Sunday are enjoying the largest growth in readers in the national newspaper market, a report revealed today.
Figures released by the National Readership Survey (NRS) showed that the readership of i grew by an unrivalled 32 per cent during 2012. The paper was the only national daily to increase its readership last year, apart from the Financial Times, which grew by 1 per cent.
The i newspaper now has 612,000 readers (up from 463,000 in 2011) and its combined readership with The Independent is 1,102,000, greater than that of both The Guardian and the Financial Times.
In the Sunday market, The Independent on Sunday's readership grew by 12 per cent to 547,000 said the NRS. The only other title in the sector to grow was the Daily Star Sunday, which increased its readership by 1 per cent.
