Your support makes all the difference.After spending much of the summer titillating Fleet Street gossip writers with her prodigious appetites for shopping and partying, the daughter of the Harrods boss Mohamed Al Fayed is set to knuckle down to work as a TV presenter.
Camilla Al Fayed, 21, will put her in-depth knowledge of Christian Louboutin footwear to good use when she reports from the forthcoming New York and Paris fashion shows for GMTV. She will begin by presenting fashion news on Lorraine Kelly's show, LK Today, from today.
"I have grown up with Lorraine Kelly and it is such a great honour to be asked to report from the New York and Paris fashion shows for her programme," she said.
"I love mixing high street and high fashion so hopefully GMTV viewers will get a sneak peek of what's hot for next summer."
The youngest daughter of the Harrods owner, is donating her GMTV fee to the Evelina Children's Hospital in London. Ms Fayed was recently described as one of the season's foremost "Party Chicks" by one fashion editor. She was hailed as the belle of the Dolce & Gabbana ball at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
Yet it was reports of a relationship with the actor Brandon Davis, heir to a multibillion- dollar fortune accumulated by his oil tycoon grandfather who went on to buy 20th Century Fox before selling it to Rupert Murdoch, that really got the columnists salivating.
The relationship was not to be and Ms Fayed is single again. These days she prefers to be spotted on the arm of old chums such as Elton John's civil partner David Furnish, and the designer Patrick Cox.
Having cut her journalistic teeth on the notoriously brutal Vogue internship in New York under Anna Wintour, she returned to the UK to work with her father and sister marketing a line of clothing. Over the summer she was spotted doing work experience at Condé Nast, the publisher of Vanity Fair, which had been on the receiving end of a multimillion-pound lawsuit after it ran a famously unflattering feature on her father.
Dodi Al Fayed, who died in a car crash with Diana, Princess of Wales, was her half-brother from her father's marriage to Adnan Khashoggi's sister Samira.
