Fans of the Canadian pop singer have realized that it is easier to make the similar sounding "Diustin Biber" trend now that Twitter has changed its trending topic algorithm to exclude topics that are continually popular day after day.
Daniel Radcliffe, an actor famous for his lead role in the Harry Potter movies, celebrated his 21st birthday on July 23.
The meme "#oneofmyfears" is in third place followed by the name of science fiction thriller Inception and "Matt Barnes," a professional American basketball player who was just signed to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The terms "#whyyouweave" and "#howtopissawomanoff" are in sixth and seventh place respectively.
The name of the second largest comic convention in the world, "Comic-Con," taking place in San Diego July 22-25, moves down two places to number eight. " Tron" is in ninth place after Comic-Con visitors were treated to an eight minute 3D preview of the movie TRON: Legacy, a much-awaited sequel to the 1982 science fiction film.
"CLR," a term short for the word "clear" moves down one place to tenth.
