The Brazilian journalist, TV celebrity Leila Lopes's untimely death is rumored to be due to a drug overdose. Adding to the story's intrigue is Lopes's appearances in Playboy magazine and an erotic film in Brazil.
However, searches for the results for the "Exame Nacional do Ensino Médio" that Brazilian high schoolers took in October are also trending. The test is used by many Brazilian high schools to determine a student's level of education. The answers for the test were released December 6.
Miss France is also enjoying high popularity in Google searches, holding the third and fourth place. Miss Normandy Malika Ménard won the contest through a popular vote of the top five contestants, the first such victory in the pagent's history.
The American student convicted of murder in Italy, Amanda Knox, continues to trend after her sentencing of 26 years in prison following a trial that many in the United States are questioning the fairness of.
