The top search term on Google Insights on May 10 is Cinco de Mayo.

Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for "fifth of May." It is also the name of a holiday celebrated in the United States of America and the Mexican state of Puebla to commemorate the Mexican militia's victory against the French army during The Battle of Puebla in 1862.

Increased searches for the name of German singer and Eurovision contestant Lena Meyer-Landrut put her in second place on Google Insights.

The name of American TV star Kendra Wilkinson is ranked third on Google Insights as the former Playboy Playmate tries to stop the release of a "Kendra Exposed" sex tape.

Mother's Day was celebrated in many countries around the world on Sunday, May 9, causing searches for Mother's Day to rise in popularity. "Edible arrangements" has leaped to number four on the charts as people searched for unique gifts for their mothers during the week. "Mothers Day" ranks at number six on the charts.

British news services "BBC News" and Sky News"are in fifth and seventh place respectively for a week that witnessed elections in the UK, followed by the name of Greek blog "troktiko" in eighth place.

People searching for "cricinfo" - a cricket information website located at www.cricinfo.com - have driven the term into ninth place. In tenth is "icici bank," as people in India trawl the internet for information about the Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India, also known as "icici bank."

The search terms with the most significant growth worldwide in the last seven days as measured by Google Insights, recorded on May 10 at 10:30 AM GMT are:
