The international press watchdog, Reporters sans Frontieres, has accused 16 countries taking part in this week's Francophone summit of violating press freedoms, including the host nation Vietnam. A statement issued by the Paris-based group yesterday said five journalists had been killed in Francophone countries since the organisation's last summit in 1995. Four were in Cambodia, one in Rwanda. Rwanda, Tunisia, Burundi, Lebanon, Niger, Congo and Vietnam were accused of currently holding journalists in jail.
