The Princess collected her A-level results from £23,000-a-year Marlborough College last week, receiving two As and a B in art, English literature and history of art.
The royal family is not known for its intellectualism; but some members do have unexpected skills. The Queen, for example, was home-schooled in history by the provost of Eton, and speaks French fluently. She also earned her interpreter, swimmer, dancer, horsewoman, cook, child nurse and needlewoman badges in the Guides. So, if you ever need a button sewn on....
* Princess Eugenie's two As and a B beats last year's grades for older sister Beatrice, who last year received an A in drama and Bs in history and film studies.
* Cousin William used his A in geography, B in history of art and C in biology to go to the University of St Andrews. Harry received a B in art and D in geography.
* Prince Charles left Gordonstoun in 1967 with A levels in history (B) and French (C), enough to get him into Trinity College, Cambridge, where he earned a 2:2.
* Princess Diana failed all her O-levels, twice. However she was skilled in deportment, having attended finishing school in Switzerland.
