Will Aid returns next month
Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.DURING the whole of November many solicitors will be offering to write simple wills for a suggested donation to charity of pounds 35.
This is a spur to everyone to think about making a will or revising an existing will.
If you have any general or specific questions about making your will, getting the wording right, providing for children, safeguarding the family home, or how to arrange your affairs in the most tax-efficient way, write to the Independent on Sunday.
We will publish a selection of the letters in a fortnight's time, together with comments from Gillian Jenkins, a lawyer who runs her own will-writing business.
Letters will be published anonymously using just the author's initials and county. Please include a day-time telephone number where possible in case of queries.
Neither the Independent on Sunday nor Gillian Jenkins can enter into further discussions on letters.
Write to: Personal Finance (Wills), The Independent, 40 City Road, London EC1Y 2DB.
Please do not send SAEs or original documents as we cannot guarantee to deal with every letter personally.
