Vendome profits disappoint
Shares in Vendome, the luxury goods group whose brands include Dunhill, Cartier and Karl Lagerfeld, fell 17p to 478p after the company announced lower-than-expected profits Vendome, which was spun off from the Rothmans tobacco group two years ago, saw profits affected by the strong Swiss franc and the weakness in the US dollar Profits for the year to March rose by 12 per cent to pounds 236m compared to analysts' expectations of pounds 245m Sales rose from pounds 11bn to pounds 13bn
