Results for the half-year to March are due today. The company returned to profits in 1993/94 year, making pounds 340,000 before tax against the pounds 1.38m loss recorded in the previous year. There was talk that the interim results from the precision engineer would show a much better than expected improvement.
rThe name of Consolidate Coal will soon be added to the stock market's list. The company is raising pounds 5m, of which pounds 500,000 will be used to settle advisory and stockbroking bills. The proceeds will be used to buy a South Wales mining operation to add to its existing operations further north in the principality.
