Stanley is understood to be putting the final touches to its proposed bid, and a decision on the exact timing and size of the offer is likely to be made this morning.
The developments at Stanley, which is keen to negotiate an agreed offer for Capital, follow Wednesday's disclosure that the two had been in contact and Capital's decision on Friday to initiate an auction for the company
