This week they climbed 30p to a 370p peak. Four institutions have stakes but the most intriguing shareholder is unquoted Frederic Robinson, a bigger brewer based at Stockport in Cheshire. It has almost 9 per cent. Carlsberg Tetley has 5.3 per cent.
Weather Action, an independent weather forecasting business, is expected to accompany next week's interim figures with details of an intriguing contract with a major group. Floated in October at 79p Weather Action shares rose 8.5p to 80p.
Merchant bank Dawnay Day has taken a 9.27 per cent stake in property tiddler Deyln at 117p. The shares rose 15.5p to 115p.
