THE RAF is installing a pounds 175m computer system to underpin the introduction of commercial-style costing and accounting to its supplies and engineering functions. IBM will coordinate the installation on the 8,000 work stations in the system. It will be used by the newly formed Logistics Command to strike a balance between fast, high-quality operational support and value for money.
