Abbey Panels Investments, engineers, incurred pounds 993,000 (pounds 1.2m) pre-tax loss in the six months to 31 March. Loss per share 48.4p (49.8p). No dividend.

Unitech, electrical components maker, fell to pounds 10.5m (pounds 13.8m) pre-tax profit in the year to 31 May. EPS 7.3p (13.2p). Total dividend 6.1p (5.85p).

William Ransom, pharmaceutical products maker, rose to pounds 817,000 (pounds 677,000) pre-tax profits in the year to 31 March. EPS 3.49p (3.04p). Total dividend 1.903p (1.77p).

Year to 30 April

AB Consulting, the civil engineering consultancy, incurred pounds 1.15m pre-tax loss (profit pounds 41,000). LPS 6.1p (EPS 0.3p). Total dividend 1p (4.3p).

Dale Electric, AC and DC power systems maker, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 2.3m (pounds 1.6m). EPS 13.2p (8.74p). Total dividend 5.1p (same).

Saville Gordon, engineers' merchant and property trader, made pounds 2.35m (pounds 3.5m) pre-tax profit. EPS 1.4p (2.9p). Total dividend 2.2p (same).

Half-year to 30 June

Derby Trust declared a lower dividend of 6.2p (8.2p). Net asset value per share 421p.

Freeman Group, building products distributor, held the dividend at 2p although pre-tax profits fell 35 per cent to pounds 357,000 (pounds 550,000). EPS 4.1p (4.9p).

Lincoln House, furnishing products maker, turned around pounds 97,000 taxable loss to pounds 102,000 pre-tax profit. EPS 0.6p (LPS 0.6p). No dividend.
