Half year to 30 June

Try Group, the housebuilder, fell to pounds 380,000 pre-tax profit. Dividend is 0.5p (2p).

Stag Furniture Holdings fell from pounds 932,000 to pounds 317,000 pre-tax profit. Dividend is 1.5p (2.5p).

World of Leather lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 94,000 ( pounds 41,000).

Waterford Foods rose to Ir pounds 8.7m (Ir pounds 7.7m) pre-tax profit. Dividend is 1.15p (1.1p) on 'A' shares and 1.15p (0.75p) on 'B' shares.

James Finlay, the international financier and trader, fell from pounds 5.7m to pounds 3.7m pre-tax profit. Interim dividend is held at 2p.

FBD Holdings, the insurer-underwriter, made pounds 5.25m ( pounds 4.4m) pre- tax profit. Dividend is 2p (1.6p).

High Gosforth Park, the race and golf course owner, incurred pounds 64,000 pre-tax loss (profit pounds 6,000). No dividend.

Eidos, the colour systems quality control company, halved pre-tax losses to pounds 88,000 ( pounds 169,000).

LGW achieved pre-tax profits of pounds 438,000 (loss pounds 254,000). Interim dividend is 1.125p.

Kingspan Group, the building products supplier, fell to Ir pounds 1m (Ir pounds 1.5m) pre-tax profit. Interim dividend is held at 1p.

Quarto Group slipped to pounds 1.1m ( pounds 1.2m) pre-tax profit. Interim dividend is held at 1.6125p.

Others

Northern Industrial Improvement Trust slipped to pounds 301,000 ( pounds 313,000) pre-tax profit in the year to 31 March. Final dividend is 15p, making 23p (22p).

Triton Europe, the oil and gas exploration company, reported net profits of pounds 3.9m ( pounds 31.4m) for the year to 31 May. No dividend.

Community Hospitals, the health care services group, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 6.75m ( pounds 5.8m) in the year to 30 June. Final dividend is 4.1p, making 6.5p (6p).

British Data Management advanced pre-tax profits to pounds 2.5m ( pounds 1.1m) in the year to 30 June. Final dividend is 1p.

Alumasc Group increased pre-tax profits to pounds 7.2m ( pounds 5.8m) in the year to 30 June. Final dividend is 7.45p, making 11p (10p).

Dartmore Investment Trust raised the dividend to 2.5p (2.4p) for the three months to 31 July. Net asset value 70.5p (117.1p).
