Year to 31 March

OMI International, the industrial materials manufacturer, reduced pre-tax losses from pounds 13.2m to pounds 5m. Loss per share was cut to 11.6p (30.2p). Final dividend is 1p, making 1.75p (same).

Shield Group, the property developer, recovered from pounds 1.4m taxable loss to pounds 282,000 pre-tax profit, despite a sharp fall in turnover to pounds 2.1m (pounds 10.5m). Loss per share is cut to 3.7p (20.8p). No dividend.

Syltone, the engineer, saw pre-tax profits decline from pounds 2.8m to pounds 2.1m. Earnings per share fell to 15.03p (22.22p). Final dividend is 6.3p, making 9.45p (same).

TGI, the sound reproduction equipment maker, made pounds 409,000 (pounds 597,000) pre-tax profit. Earnings per share rose to 2.9p (2.5p). Total dividend is 1.5p (1p).

United Industries, the machine and tool maker, reduced pre-tax losses from pounds 1.9m to pounds 1.7m. Loss per share was cut to 5.23p to 3.16p. No dividend.

Others

Vistec Group, the computer systems supplier, advanced to pounds 3.5m (pounds 2.7m) pre-tax profit in the year to 30 April. Earnings per share grew to 2.07p (1.57p). Total dividend 0.375p (0.3p).

Electric & General Investment Co maintained the total dividend at 3.1p for the year to 31 May. Net asset value per share is 185.8p (152.6p).

Brunner IT declared a higher dividend of 2.4p (2.35p) for the six months to 31 May. Net asset value per share is 221.2p (194.8p).
