Your support makes all the difference.Victoria Carpet, the Kidderminster- based carpet manufacturer and distributor, fell to pounds 598,000 ( pounds 1.7m) pre- tax profit in the year to 31 March. Turnover eased to pounds 33.5m ( pounds 33.8m). The company said it had been forced to cut prices in the face of low demand. The rate of profit on turnover was reduced by 51 per cent. Earnings per share were slashed from 18.08p to 5.28p. Total dividend was cut to 3p (4.5p).
Alexanders Holdings, which operates Ford dealerships in the UK, achieved pounds 32,000 pre-tax profit for the six months to 31 March following a pounds 998,000 restated loss for the year to 30 September. Earnings per share are 0.06p. No dividend.
Half-year to 30 June
Fleming American Investment Trust is to pay a 0.85p dividend, up from 0.35p. The net asset value per share grew to 295.3p from 198.8p.
Greenfriar Investment Company's net asset value per share over the 12 months to 30 June has grown from 351p to 434.7p. It is paying 2.15p (2.1p) dividend.
Multitone Electronics, the communications systems manufacturer, recorded a decline in pre-tax profits from pounds 1.9m to pounds 1.6m for the year to 30 April on a slight increase in turnover to pounds 24.6m ( pounds 23.3m). Earnings per share are 7.17p compared with 8.33p. The final divdiend is 2p, making 3.5p (3p).
