Six months to 31 March

Albion, maker and supplier of tailored menswear, cut pre- tax profits to pounds 291,000 ( pounds 508,000), on turnover up from pounds 9.1m to pounds 13.5m. Eps 5.6p (9.6p). Interim dividend is held at 1.6p.

Scottish Radio Holdings, the broadcaster that recently changed its name from Radio Clyde Holdings, recorded a jump in pre-tax tax profits to pounds 2m ( pounds 1.5m). Eps 14.1p (12p). Dividend is 4.5p (3.5p).

Richards, the textiles manufacturer, increased taxable losses from pounds 326,000 to pounds 1.6m. Lps worsened from 0.63p to 5.56p. Interim dividend is held at 1.07p.

Others

Racal Electronics has bought ACS Ventures, consisting of the Airtech Computer Security group of companies, for pounds 12.3m in cash and shares.

Baris Holdings, fire protection materials supplier, deepened taxable losses from pounds 351,000 to pounds 1.4m for the year to 28 February. Lps 20.8p (Eps 0.2p). No dividend.

Domino Printing Sciences, which makes machines that print sell-by dates on packaging, increased pre-tax profits from pounds 3.7m to pounds 5.4m in the six months to 30 April. Turnover rose to pounds 41.4m ( pounds 37.6m). Eps 13.65p (9.35p). Dividend is 3.2p (2.65p).

Kelt Energy has made pounds 5m pre-tax profit for the nine months to 31 December on pounds 26.6m turnover. Eps 2.3p. It has declared a third-quarter dividend of 1p.

Tops Estates returned higher pre-tax profits of pounds 2.4m ( pounds 1.7m) for the year to 31 March. Eps 4.53p (4.4p). Total dividend is 2.21p.
