Vega Group, the satellite software specialist, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 2.1m ( pounds 1.4m) for the year to 30 April. Eps rose to 10.01p (6.38p). Total dividend is 3.1p (2.73p).

Clyde Blowers, makers of soot- blowing equipment and boiler parts, sharply increased taxable losses from pounds 18,000 to pounds 514,000 in the six months to 28 February. Lps 9.79p (0.53p). Dividend is 1.33p (1.5p).

Windsor, the insurance and reinsurance broker, made pounds 18,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 1.9m) in the six months to 31 March. Eps 0.01p (lps 5.64p). No dividend.

Year to 31 March

Albrighton, which provides products and services to the construction industry, yesterday showed a turnaround from pounds 358,000 taxable loss to pounds 766,000 pre-tax profit. Turnover jumped from pounds 2.4m to pounds 5.1m. Eps 1.2p (lps 0.6p). Total dividend is 0.5p.

Caledonia Investments, the diversified trading and investment company with interests in chemicals, investment management and glass manufacturing, pushed pre- tax profits ahead from pounds 36m to pounds 45.2m. Eps 39.3p (26.1p). Total dividend is 16.2p (15p).

GEI International, makers of packaging and processing machinery, cut the total dividend from 4.94p to 1.5p after pre-tax profits were maintained at pounds 2.1m on slightly lower turnover of pounds 77m ( pounds 78.2m). Eps 3.56p (lps 1.62p).

JLI Group, the food processor and distributor, reported a decline in pre-tax profits from pounds 5.2m to pounds 4.1m. Turnover grew to pounds 111.5m ( pounds 104.7m). Eps 7.1p (9.3p). Total dividend is 4.8p (4.65p).

ML Holdings achieved pounds 5.2m pre- tax profit (loss pounds 11.2m). Turnover rose to pounds 100.5m ( pounds 84.9m). Eps 2.9p (18.4p). Final dividend is 0.85p.

Tex Holdings, engineering products group, made pounds 273,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 94,000) on higher turnover of pounds 20.7m ( pounds 16.6m). Eps 2.4p (lps 1.5p). No dividend.
