Barcom, the plant hirer, slumped from pounds 757,000 profit to pounds 1.5m taxable loss in the six months to 31 March after the Hawkins business acquired last year failed to generate anticipated profits. LPS 8.5p (4.05p). No dividend.

Boustead reported a sharp turnaround from pounds 2m taxable loss (12 months) to pounds 5.1m pre-tax profit for the 15 months to 31 March. The sale of discontinued businesses made pounds 5.4m. EPS 6.9p (3.7p). Total dividend is 1p (0.7p).

Year ended 31 December

Acorn Computer Group revealed a sharp decline in pre-tax profits from pounds 1.3m to pounds 115,000. EPS 0.2p (2p). No dividend.

Gresham House made pounds 988,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 3.5m). Earnings per share recovered to 23.6p (LPS 81.5p). No dividend.

Year to 31 March

Radstone Technology, maker of computer sub-systems, beat its pre-flotation forecast with profits before tax of pounds 1.45m, and included an exceptional cost of pounds 150,000 from reorganising one of its divisions. Turnover rose to pounds 28.3m ( pounds 25.9m). No dividend.

London Industrial fell to pounds 933,000 ( pounds 1m) pre-tax profit. Earnings per share are 12.5p (16.2p). Total dividend is 7p.

Property Partnerships increased pre-tax profits to pounds 1.7m ( pounds 1.6m). EPS 15.93p (14.63p). Total dividend is 7.5p (7.25p).
