Arcon International Resources, the oil and gas exploration company, deepened taxable losses to Ir pounds 3.2m (Ir pounds 1.2m) for the year to 31 August. Loss per share was 5.68p (2.34p).

CCS Group, the building materials supplier, made pounds 1.5m pre-tax profit ( pounds 10,000 loss) for the year to 31 October, despite lower turnover of pounds 2.6m ( pounds 3.1m). EPS 9.61p (LPS 0.02p). No dividend.

Goodwin, the mechanical and refractory engineer, boosted pre-tax profits to pounds 180,000 ( pounds 81,000) in the six months to 31 October. EPS 1.68p (0.75p). No dividend.

Honeysuckle Group, the women's clothing distributor, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 834,000 ( pounds 601,000) in the six months to 30 November. EPS 6.7p (5.5p). Dividend 1p.

Mallett, the antique dealer, virtually doubled pre-tax profits to pounds 1m ( pounds 519,000) for the year ended 31 December. EPS 5.3p (2.52p). Total dividend 2.5p (2p).

Micklegate, the property developer, reduced taxable losses from pounds 4.75m to pounds 1.5m for the year to 30 April. LPS 6.31p (21.84p).

Frank Usher, the dressmaker, made pounds 623,000 ( pounds 843,000) pre-tax profit in the six months to 30 November. EPS 6p (8.2p). Dividend held at 2.5p.
