Air London International, the air charter broker, fell to pounds 300,000 ( pounds 411,000) pre-tax profit in the six months to 31 January. Eps 2.2p (3.2p). Dividend held at 1.6p.

Cosalt, the holiday homes, fibres, safety equipment and clothing maker, made pounds 756,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 200,000) in the six months to 28 February. Eps 4.11p (lps 1.64p). Dividend is 3p (2.125p).

S Lyles, carpet yarn maker, lifted pre-tax profits to pounds 113,000 ( pounds 102,000) in the six months to 31 December. Eps 1.14p (1.02p). Dividend is 1p (1.55p).

Year ended 31 December

Barlows, the property developer, incurred pounds 390,000 loss net of tax, sharply reduced from pounds 2.1m loss net of tax. Lps 1.94p (10.6p). No dividend (0.825p).

Eadie Holdings, the general engineer, boosted pre-tax profits to pounds 2m ( pounds 768,000), on turnover up to pounds 29.5m ( pounds 23.3m). Eps 2.55p (1.33p). Total dividend is 1p (0.5p).

Huntleigh Technology, whose main business is making pneumatic mattresses for hospitals, advanced to pounds 6.9m ( pounds 5.5m). Turnover rose to pounds 35.5m ( pounds 28.4m). Eps 17.31p. (13.37p). Total dividend is 4.5p (3.33p).

William Bedford, the antiques dealer, achieved pounds 96,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 272,000). Eps 1.8p (lps 5p). No dividend.

Year to 31 January

EFG, the garden centre group, turned a pounds 6m loss into a pounds 132,000 profit. Group sales were pounds 14.5m ( pounds 20.4m). The horticulture division contributed record operating profits of pounds 687,000 on sales of pounds 5.3m. Eps 0.32p. Total dividend is 0.1p.

Herring Baker Harris, the estate agent, incurred pounds 430,000 taxable loss (profit pounds 1.4m). Lps 6.95p (eps 3.97p). Total dividend 1.5p (3.75p).

Wensum Company, the clothes maker, made pounds 318,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 44,000). Eps 2.87p (lps 0.33p). Total dividend 2p (1.825p).
