EXPECT news soon that Tunstall Group is retreating to its core business of emergency alarms for the elderly, by selling off the remaining businesses it collected during its not-overly successful foray into security systems. That should please the City, where Tunstall shares have picked up quite a following over the past couple of years.
Since the beginning of 1991, the shares have risen from little over pounds 1 to their present level of 295p. The company having just settled out of court for pounds 750,000 plus costs in its long-running dispute with Ernst & Young over the collapse of Sound Diffusion, the shares look to have further to run yet.
