Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Emerging markets becoming increasingly popular with investors, and the global financial crisis has helped to boost the attraction of emerging markets debt. In addition, high profile launches in this area such as star fund manager, Anthony Bolton’s new Fidelity China Special Situations trust have further raised the profile of emerging markets at a time when investors are looking for alternatives to investing their money in more developed countries.

This webchat will look at the potential benefits there may be for investors, and the best ways to invest, especially bearing in mind the uncertainty in the stockmarket due to the Election. Live on Thursday at 1pm will have a couple of experts live to answer any questions you may have about emerging markets. Our guests will be Sheridan Admans, investment adviser at retail stockbroker, The Share Centre and Peter Eerdmans, Emerging Markets fund manager at Investec Asset Management.

Feel free to submit questions ahead of the 1pm kick-off using the form below.
