Your support makes all the difference.A retired school teacher from England has been murdered on the Caribbean island of Antigua, the Foreign Office confirmed last night.
Gabrielle Stocker, 60, from Lancashire, was beaten to death on a beach. She had been working on the island for the Voluntary Service Overseas organisation. It is understood that she lived alone on Antigua.
Mrs Stocker retired as deputy head of Fleetwood High School, Lancashire, in 1994 and had been working in the Caribbean ever since.
A man has been arrested in connection her murder, the Foreign Office confirmed. Mrs Stocker's husband flew out from Britain to Antigua after hearing of her death.
