Your support makes all the difference.Schoolboy Nathan Stephens, hit by a goods train, remained "critical but stable" in hospital last night after losing both legs. His parents, Barry and Helen, spent the weekend by his bedside at Morriston Hospital, Swansea, where he is on a life-support machine. Nathan, of Commercial Street, Kenfig Hill, Mid Glamorgan, was struck by the train on Friday night as he played in a local wood with friends on his ninth birthday.
British Transport Police believe he tripped while trying to cross the busy track, which carries InterCity trains from London to Swansea. Officers have urged parents to warn their children of the extreme hazard of going on to railway property.
