Bell settles legal advice bill

Martin Bell, the Independent MP, has fulfilled his promise to pay back a pounds 9,400 legal-advice bill paid for by Labour and the Liberal Democrats. The move comes after Neil Hamilton, the man at the centre of the cash- for-questions affair defeated by Mr Bell in the fight for the constituency of Tatton, Cheshire, called for his resignation.
