Natalie was born seven months after Mrs Cummings killed her husband after finding pictures of him with another woman.
Mrs Cummings, who was acquitted of second degree murder by a jury in Florida after they heard she suffered battered wife syndrome, said yesterday she saw her daughter's birth as a fresh start.
"She's absolutely wonderful and thank goodness I can stay with her and not be separated. But there are mixed emotions and there's still a lot of sadness."
Natalie was born last week at Sharoe Green Hospital in Preston and weighed 7lbs 14oz. She is now with her 15-month-old brother, Terry, at the family home in Fulwood, Lancashire.
"She was born on the new moon which signifies a new beginning. She looks like Terry and he loves her so much."
Mrs Cummings, a nurse, faced life in prison after admitting that she shot her husband Tyler at their home in Fort Lauderdale.
The jury acquitted her after hearing how her husband had previously attacked her and that she had feared for her life when she confronted him about his infidelity. She discovered she was pregnant with Natalie during a routine medical examination while in jail awaiting trial.
Mrs Cummings, 33, cradled her two children yesterdayand said: "It makes me cherish them all the more. I want to cherish the time I have with them; they grow up so quickly."
Referring to her seven-month court ordeal after the shooting she said: "Every now and then it comes back. I just wish we could have been a normal family." She added: "I am sad that Tyler couldn't have enjoyed that type of life. We'll take it a little bit at a time. I want them [the children] to be well adjusted and happy."
