Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Easter weekend is always a great time for bargain hunters and this year looks set to be no exception. Several major retailers are hosting sales including House of Fraser, Halfords and, perhaps more predictably, Thorntons the chocolatier. Thorntons's offer is three-for-two on Easter gifts plus a free box of chocolates worth £13.99 with all orders over £20 when using the discount code EA44. Meanwhile, both House of Fraser and Halfords have up to 50 per cent off dozens of items in store and online. The produce they sell may be entirely different but both retailers are clearly using the bank holiday spirit to attract new customers to their stores.

Clothing discounts

Elsewhere, the Boden mid-season sale launched last week with up to 40 per cent of all clothing lines online. Whether you're shopping for womenswear, menswear, footwear or accessories, you'll find hundreds of items discounted at Boden.co.uk. Its worth mentioning that this deal can be used in conjunction with Boden's new customer offer, which entitles patrons to a further 10 per cent discount, free delivery and a free printed make-up bag. The additional 10 per cent saving can be claimed by entering the code AF12 at the checkout.

Scent-sational offers

Girl Jeans Cologne, down from £27 to £14 and a 200ml tube of Decléor slim-effect gel cream reduced from £39.32 to £25. All prices include UK delivery costs.

Bottoms up

But the top printable coupon offer this week comes from MyVoucherCodes.co.uk and entitles customers to two meals for the price of one at O'Neill's pubs. To claim simply visit http://ind.pn/g9TVj5, print the coupon and take it with you when heading to O'Neill's for a meal.
