Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It's already time to search out those "back to school" deals, and Marks & Spencer's uniform offer is well worth taking advantage of. While stocks last, the M&S website is selling a child's cotton polo shirt for £1, a pure cotton jumper for £2 and a pair of adjustable-waist trousers for just £3.50. Better still, the company offers free delivery on all schoolwear products, below.

Cheap parcel deliveries
Speaking of delivery discounts, Parcelforce has launched a voucher code which entitles customers to 15 per cent off its UK and International services. Simply enter the code S4XE when arranging the delivery at http://ind.pn/aFJrAm and your postage costs will be reduced by the set amount. The code also works for the "express48" service, though the saving on that is only 10 per cent.
Gift of the Gaff
Giffgaff is an interesting mobile phone company which effectively hands control back to the user by shunning contracts in favour of a one-off payment. Customers must provide their own handset and then purchase a Giffgaff "goody bag" which includes a SIM card loaded with a variable mobile phone package. Current offers on its website www.GiffGaff.com include the "unlimited calls, unlimited texts, unlimited internet" goody bag, down from £35 to £17.50, and the "100 minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited internet" bag, down from £10 to £5.
PC World discounts
Some of the more popular deals on the Offers.co.uk website at the moment are the range of discounts that PC World is offering customers who are looking to buy a laptop. The extent of the discount is graded according to the price of the computer and starts at £10 off any laptop costing more than £349 and goes up to £100 off all laptops selling for more than £1,000. Visit http://ind.pn/97R5wn to find a deal.
