Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Tesco has teamed up with the FA to provide free football coaching for five- to 11-year-olds during school holidays. The two-hour coaching sessions are available at 137 venues across England, starting this week. There is a maximum of one session per child per day, and they must be booked two days in advance, so if you're looking for a Monday session, you must book today. To sign up, visit Tesco.com/football.
Toy prices halved in offer from Asda
Asda has halved the price of selected toys both in-store and online. Doll's houses are available from £35, and a rocking horse and Peppa Pig's My First Kitchen for just £20. Most of the toys fall into the pre-school category, but it's worth visiting http://ind.pn/RCtSfy and having a browse whatever the child's age.
Sale makes a splash at River Island
River Island is also running a half-price sale this week, with limited items from current and previous seasons available. There is no closing date just yet, so be prepared for offers to end at any time. In the meantime, check out the women's dress department, where prices are as low as £6.
Big savings on Pizza Hut deliveries

To take advantage, simply enter the code AFD21WLJE when ordering online, or quote it if ordering over the phone. The offer runs until Monday and is not valid on dine-in meals.
