THERE are very few new products being launched in the pre- Christmas market, but one that stands out is the sixth issue of Chelsea Building Society's Premier Account. Rates are fixed until 1 April, 1993. Until then deposits of between pounds 5,000 and pounds 10,000 will attract a rate of 9.5 per cent gross (7.125 per cent net).

Deposits of more than pounds 10,000 will earn a 10 per cent interest rate (7.5 per cent net). Withdrawals require 30 days' notice and will incur a 30-day loss of interest. Details on Freephone 0800 272505.
