A RESIDENT living in a Crown Estate property near Regents Park, London, failed last week to have an 850 per cent rent increase overturned by the High Court. The court ruled against Janet Morris's challenge to a Rent Assessment Committee decision which sanctioned a rise in the rent on her Nash terrace property from pounds 3,300 a year to pounds 28,500. Other Crown Estate tenants in Regents Park properties have also faced big rent rises recently.
