MANAGEMENT charges on sheltered housing vary between pounds 40 and pounds 235 per unit per year, according to a survey conducted by the Sheltered Housing Advisory & Conciliation Service (Shacs). Having dealt with 1,200 inquiries from worried residents in two years, Shacs warns people to be careful about the terms they are being offered before moving into sheltered accommodation.
